Make the time to watch this

Eartlings is a documentary, that was released in 2005. It's about Earthlings just like the title suggests. Well about the way we earthlings tend to interact with each other. I'd write more about this, but I think the movie speaks for itself, and I'll let it do all the talking. I will say this, the movie is kind of intense, and may startle you, but these are things people need to know.

28 December 2007

Boy 8-bit is running shit so hard right now

I just thought I'd let everyone know. Go to his myspace and listen to my pomomofo. I don't even know what the original song sounds like, and to be honest I don't even care, cause the remix is so hard. I dare you to sit still while you listen to it.

Funky Fridays 12-28-07

So After a few months of absence of Funky Fridays, I finally have one for you guys. Just discovered this band no more than 5 minutes ago, but they're that good. They're called BLK JKS they're from South Africa, and they're crazy good. Give them a listen HERE. I don't think you'll be disappointed. The band is so fun, great guitar sounds, fat bass tone, great percussion, great vibe, great everything as far as I'm concerned. This is one of those records that makes you feel things. It's like a hot day watching life go by, and not caring. Get this record. There's a limited 500 copy pressing of Lakeside/One must die. I'm getting it, I might even get 2 copies, I'm that excited. Happy listening.

26 December 2007

I think we're doing that thing where time is a worm that eats itself, and shits greatness...

I'm sure you all remember "what is love?" That ridiculous crazy Haddaway that ran the 90's. Well it's back, and electrified. It's too bad nobody reads this, cause this track is out of control, and will do major damage. Especially since everyone knows it, and it has trancey synths, which I can overlook because the bassline is so fucking dirty. This is get buck in the club music. Throw your hands in the air, your caution to the wind, and condomless sex music. Reckless fucking abandon. Maybe I'm all hyped up on tofu, or maybe this track is just HUGE. You be the judge. Shout out to Johnny Cocco for finding this motherfucker.

On another hype, but less trancey note, the Philadelphyinz just threw a track on the nets for your listening pleasure. Its a gillie da kid remix. Holler at that shit! Then punch someone in the face, cause it's that kind of song.

Oh my god sundays 12/23/07

So it's the return of the weekly posts, maybe. Anyway this is mehrlicht. They're two guys from France who make some ridiculous dance music. They don't really have any mp3's hosted anywhere, but you should definitely give them a listen. It's the kind of stuff you listen to, and wish you did it, but you didn't so you dance anyway. These guys are bringing the rave back, along with a host of others, not the least of which might be the SHM, or Swedish House Mafia. Get learned. Angello, Ingrosso, and company have been killing it lately, and don't show signs of stopping any time soon. The links I'm about to throw down aren't for the weak of heart, if you're not ready don't click them. This stuff is serious, bang your head against a wall, stick your head in a bassbin serious.

Don't do a google image search for ass.

can i SQUEEZE it?

So I'd had this idea about flipping Project Pat on a track for a while, and I never got around to ripping the acapella, to my computer. Well I had a friend come over, and make me decide to stop being lazy, so I did it. Anyway here's that track that's been bouncing around my head for a while. anyway, what's really important is here's the song.

I'm just as confused as you are...

Yes, this is for real, it's not a joke, there really is a Tiesto shirt. Not gonna lie, I kind of want it just to say I have one. I'd totally wear it at all of my gigs. Only ballers click here You can keep the CD but send the size small t shirt my way, and I'll make you a mixtape or something. Speaking of mixtapes, I think I have some records coming in the mail today, so be on the lookout for that.

21 December 2007

Can we say secret weapon?

Hey Tallahassee and world. Here's some T-Pain for you. It's a song called calm the fuck down that was on the European release of Epiphany. I've had it for a while, and I just decided to flip it. This is limited time only, and since nobody reads this I guess it'll stay exclusive, but if you like it holelr at me. I got more where that came from.

19 December 2007

This isn't new or anything

But if you're from Tallahassee, you probably have no clue who spankrock is so....

15 December 2007

So it's 7 AM

So I just finished watching this movie when I got home tonight, or rather this morning. What's more important than when I got home is how fucked/awesome this movie is. Apparently it came out in 2005, but I just saw it for the first time, and I have to say it's awesome. I think I'll be buying a DVD soon. This was just in case anyone cared. Below is a link to the imdb page in case you're curious

10 December 2007

It's been a busy weekend, but I'm back, I think

So The party this Friday, went pretty well. Actually very well, There'll be pictures soon enough so you can all see for yourselves. Then Saturday night was a bit of a fiasco, but still an experience. Anyway, just wanted to let the world know I'm still alive and kicking. See you Tuesday night everyone.
One of the best songs this year in my estimation

Big tings a gwan

Tomorrow night we're throwing down real hard at the hole in the wall. Get your fly sneaks on, and dress to sweat, cause the beats are gonna be banging all night. Check the flier for all the info. Bring $4 if oyu're coming, this is no joke.

Tallahasee, Get awesome!!!<

Back with some heat

So last night I was up talking with a friend of mine about negative people. and haters. This morning I wake up and have this idea about grinches, well really I woke up this afternoon, but no need to get caught up in minor details. Anyway I found the grinch song last night, and I threw some chops and drums on it. Let me know what you think.

Makeout party (pt.2) or is it The makeout party pt. 1???

So yesterday when I was posting about Makeout Party the band, I stumbled across, a group of rappers from NY that go by the name of The Makeout Party. Always a fan of happy mistakes, I took a listen to their tracks, and found myself pleasantly surprised. Some of the beats actually knock pretty hard, and the lyrical content is fresh and funny, well as fresh as you can get with party rap. You get your run of the mill topics, sex, parties, and well that seems to be about it. But since when have sex and parties been a bad thing?

Can you really hate on a croup with names like: FATTY, MISH THE MISH MASH, NO!Z MACHINE,and TIGERBEAT? Also check the "rockit" sample on get classy, talk about subtlety. If you're looking for some fun party music check them, according to their myspace they just dropped a CD recently. It's called Spell Check 1...2... I have no idea where you can get it, but maybe you can message them about it?

01 December 2007

Everyone loves a Makeout Party, Right?

Hey world, I got some more music for you. A couple of months ago there was this band that stayed at my house. They go by Makeout Party. I first heard of them when my former roommate had a shirt that said makeout party is awesome, which I incessantly tried to steal from him. Fast forward, they stayed over, we hung out, and they played a show. They've just released their first full length record independently with the help of the Make music Collective. It's called Lengths and Limits.

Lengths and limits is kind of a return to the classic emo sound, not emo in the sense that we think of it today. Think more along the lines of "Texas is the reason" and less "My chemical romance". I've got the record, and I like it, but since when has my recommendation ever been a reason to go buy something. So the band has been kind enough to furnish me with an mp3 to share with you guys. It's at the bottom of this post. Here's one more link to their myspace if you missed the first one

People Noise

That's the cover to Ordinary Ghosts, the first record from People Noise who hail from Louisville, KY. They played here a few weeks ago with OSSFL, and I've just now gotten around to writing about them. No need to bore you with what bands the members have been in before, because this is about the music they're making now, not what they've done. Sufice it to say, they rock hard. They're bringing back shoegaze one guitar pedal at a time, and I'm not mad at them for it at all.

You can buy their record online or catch them on tour, but They're more concerned with getting the music to people, so if you really want it send me an email and I'll send you the CD for free. I don't have any mp3's to post up at the moment, but go to their myspace, and listen to the songs there. These kids are doing their thing, weaving melodies into fuzz. Give it a listen, really.

29 November 2007

WHOA

So I just got home from seeing black kids, who played an awesome show, and I wish them a safe trip, and return to and from England. Now that that's out of the way, lets get down to business. First Check their myspace, they're real tight, and I think we're going to try and get them for one of the family affair parties.

Second, here's come DJ nerd stuff, well not really DJ nerd stuff, just stuff that's really only col if you DJ. Well I guess really only if you DJ with a computer, but anyway.

Don't even play like that ain't the freshest.

Last of all. I've been working on some music, and here is a rack I did recently. I got some assistance from my dude Rudy Giuliani, who isn't raelly my dude, but I got assistance anyway. It's at the bottom.

Rudy Talkin The new hot fire, like Dylan.

Not really too busy to post, but it feels like it. Anyway I saw this video on Eli's blog, and thought I'd share

Hey there Gone til Saturday

So I finally recorded a mix, that got saved and everything. It's kind of sloppy, but whatever, it's vinyl, that's what happens right? Or maybe I just suck at DJing. You be the judge.

Anyway here goes. I'm playing in Pensacola tonight os I made a little promo for the kiddies or whatever you want to call this. If you got 20 minutes, holler. Play it tonight before you go party, it should get you pumped.

Oh My God Sundays 10/21/07

funny cat picture
So I think I'm gonna do a new weekly segment called oh my god Sundays with some music I find that makes me make the oh my god face. So here it goes, no bullshit, just music.

Side Effect, can't find a website for them, but here's an mp3 sample of a song called always there It's so good. Buy This Record!!!!! Seriously.

Number 2 Elmore Judd Who is actually the whole reason I discovered side Effect if the first place. He has some SICK SICK music, check his myspace!! Buy his records!!! I am going nuts today. Probably has to do with how out of control last night was. But that's another story.

Oh and go listen to Jonny Warren again, cause the kid is doing MAJOR things. MAJOR. someone put out his record, cause if you don't I will (when I get some money).

I'm really hungry, I think it's Breakfast time.

P.S. Dumbledore is gay, totally didn't see that coming, but that's pretty rad. Nice to see some positive attention going in that direction, even if it's a fictional character. J.K. better watch out in the bible belt though, Gay Wizards? Oh noes!!!.

12 October 2007

Hey world

So I've been busy working on getting some design work done, and throwing some parties together, BUT I have something for you. There's this dude Mark Starr who DJ's here in Tallahassee. Nice enough dude, but he seems to be some kind of big deal, so I thought I'd post up a mix of his. He just put this online today, and it's pretty cool. It's goes more after your house/techno vibe than the party vibe, but it's cool. If you have any dishes to wash, or rooms to sweep this is what I would suggest, actually I'd suggest any DJ mix really, it helps make the mundane tasks a little more fun. Anyway here it is.

Mark Starr-Dark Starr vol. 5

I think I'm gonna do a mix this weekend though. Maybe I'll post it up, who knows.

07 October 2007

Good morning

So I think it's time to put you guys on to some music, right? I guess it's always that time. Anwyay, there's this rapper who goes by Hollywood Holt. Dude is pretty fresh. His songs aren't stupid, and this dude Million Dollar Mano does most of the beats, and they're really good. Discobelle just posted a remix of his song caked up, which is pretty awesome, the original is crazy good too. But on to the free music.

Hollywood Holt- Caked up(Klever remix) courtesy of discobelle

That's all for right this minute, but lots of crazy stuff is coming soon.

P.S. Hollywood Holt has a mixtape available at his website GET IT!!!

30 September 2007

2 in one day!?!?!?!?!?

Here's some hard ass shit, that's all I'm saying. check out L-Vis 1990.

l-vis 1990

DO NOT SLEEP!!!!

Lazers, Neons, and 808's oh my!!!

So check it I get home at like 4:30 from I'm gona call it a rave, even though it was really just some house music. Anyway, what better thing do I have to do at 4:30 than look around the internet for music, right? Exactly, and what do I find, lurking on the hollerboard, but a link to a blog which had a link to a myspace, which had songs on it. I was subsequently impressed by said songs so I decided to pass the link along to you.

To make this all worth reading, lets get to the story at hand. This band is called todosantos, they rule hard. They're kind of ridiculous, which in my estimation only adds to the rule factor. They're into neon lights, fast music, and pretty much everything awesome, so without further ado I give you a link to their myspace

May the force be with you young padawon.

Sex Sex Fuck Yeah

Yo I'm back with some heat for you. Everyone loves a 2 live crew song. Right? Well I do, so much so that I had to do a little re-work for the club. Not that it isn't already club ready, but whatever. Next Friday it's going down. All they way the fuck down. I'm way too excited about this. Right so there's this track, which is the whole point of this post. Or maybe the point is that I figured out how to use ableton? You'll never really know.
2 live crew- If you believe in having sex (Little Foot rework)

21 September 2007

Funky Fridays

This is called me being lazy, I don't feel like ripping any records since I just woke up and all, this song isn't really funky also, but I remember loving it on the school bus back in the day. So you're all going to love it too. I saw this on the holler board, I'm not taking any credit for this whatsoever, but seriously, holler at this.

Natural Born Chillers-Rock the Funky Beat

Enjoy, The 2 live crew remix should be up by the end of the week.

16 September 2007

I'm back

This is a song called Det Snurrar I Min Skalle by a dude who goes by the name Familjen. It totally bangs. I thought you guys might like it. I haven't been able to find the release stateside, but when I do I'll holler. By the way I think I'm gonna post on this thing again. Be ready for the fire.

Since I couldn't find the song I wanted, I'll post up another one of theirs. which is also awesome.

So here goes....

Funky Fridays 8-10-07

So I'm back again with a Funky track, maybe a week later than planned, but back nonetheless. This week's Track is Superstition by Stevie Wonder. I'm sure you all might know this one, but probably might not have it in your libraries of music. So here it is. It's off of a record called Talking Book which is pretty cool in itself.

I think this track doesn't really need a story to accompany it, so here's the info. These are the credits listed on the record.

Stevie Wonder (Vocals, Keyboards, Arp & Moog Synthesizers)
Scott Edwards (bass)
Daniel Ben Zebulon (Congas)
Jeff Beck, Buzzy Feton, Ray Parker, Jr (Guitar)
David Sanborne (Alto Sax)
Trevor Laurence (Sax)
Steve Madaio (Trumpet)
Loris Harvin, Shirley Brewer, Debra Wilson, Denise Williams, Gloria Barley, Lani Groves, Jim Gilstrap (Backing Vocals)

05 August 2007

I fell off the face of the earth!!!

No but seriously I've been hard at work on a bunch of things, most notably a remix. I just actually did the first preliminary cutting up of the track today, but I think its going in a nice direction. I'm gonna work on it some more, and hopefully it'll either be finished by tonight, or finished enough that I can post something up on here/myspace, or whatever. Other than that, funky Fridays will continue, I got a lot of heat to post up, I just need to plug in my turntables so I can record it. There will be other installments of the weekly posts as well. Maybe a Wednesday we-mix? hmmm? Anyway I haven't forgotten about you internet, and I promise that this week I'll be back harder than ever. I've been inspired. But since I've been gone, I'm going to post a link to a song for you guys so you have something to listen to cause I feel like a douche.

So without anymore yapping from me, here's dre skull with I want you back It's something of a remix. Found this on Discobelle.

26 July 2007

Buy This Record NOW!!!!

Seriously, you all need this. One of the best records to come out this summer. If you've been at my house at all this summer I've probably made you listen to black skinned blue eyed boys which is a monster song. But now there's a whole monster record. Anyway The band is called Map Of Africa. It's real sick, and I'll leave you with one song, and if you like it you can either get the rest on iTunes, or turntable lab, and probably other places too.

In other news I will be working on a remix for this band. You might have heard of them. They're called One Small Step for Landmines They're pretty awesome. Anyway enjoy the rest of your Thursday people. I might be back later with some sort of thrift store finds maybe.....

Map of Africa-Here come the heads This one's a little relaxed, but don't let it fool you. BUY THIS RECORD.

25 July 2007

who shows up to their gigs with a serato box, a laptop, and no control records? That's right I do. See you all next Tuesday. Oh when I wake up I'll post up some songs for you people.

20 July 2007

Funky Fridays 7/20/07

So I decided that waht this blog needs, is some sort of regularly occurring events. This will be the first installment of Funky Fridays. which is where I'll find some funky ass record, and rip it to mp3 for you people out there in internet land who like to party. I'm also thinking of instating a thrift-store Thursday which will be where I'll go to a thrift store/used record store, and find something awesome to rip for you. We'll see how it goes, or if anyone has a record they'd like to share with people feel free to hit me up.

Without further ado however, we move on to the first of the Funky Fridays. This song is called Funky Nassau, by The Beginning of the End. It's off of the Funky Nassau LP, which has both parts I & II I'm just giving you part I though. This is a great song, actually the whole record's good, but speaking of this song; the first time I heard it was in Blues Brothers 2000 when they play a cover of it. That's beyond the point however. The point is that this is funky and I hope you like it.

For you funk o philes who might like a certain part I'll post who played what instruments, in case you wanna do some research and fine more records by these guys.so:
Raphael "Ray" Munnings - organ & vocals
Liroy "Roy" Munnings - guitar & vocals
Franks "Bud" Munnings - drums, conga & vocals
Fred Henfield - Bass
Horns:
Neville Sampson - trumpet
Ralph Munnings - tenor Sax
Kenneth Lane - tenor sax

The Beginning of the End - Funky Nassau(320)

P.S. This is only up until I post the next Funky Friday, so if you like the track get it now.

17 July 2007

Florida Stand the Fuck UP!!!

So I don't know what's going on, but for some reason a bunch of awesome shit is happening all at once in Tallahassee/North Florida/Shithole city, USA whatever you want to call it. We've had this crazy music scene spring up out of basically nothing. Rather the ashes of what was awesome about 10 or so years ago.

None of that matters however. What does matter is that I have a bunch of music for you and me to be excited about. And not just dance music either. Although some dance music I heard is what made me get on and post this. So I get a myspace message from this dude, turns out he makes music, I check his shit, and my head explodes cause I'm not expecting this kind of fun music from Tallahassee. Anyway his name is Jonny Warren he's made some cool tracks, and you should check out his myspace. I'll put something up for download when I get a hold of it/if he's cool with it. That was the first thing, and then I started to think about other things in this town I'm excited about that people might not be aware of. so here we go.

One Small Step For Landmines These guys just got back from a short tour. They also have a sweet record coming out from what I've heard. Do not sleep, they write awesome songs, and put on a great live show.

Love is Everything This band is pretty cool. I'm filling in on bass for them at the moment. Look for full band recordings Wednesday night/Thursday morning and after.

There's more, there's always more, but if I post it all at once you won't have a reason to come back now would you? It's 5:30 in the morning, I don't have the strength to post any mp3's right now. Don't forget to look one post down and holler at that mixtape. People are talking apparently.

Just in case you forgot, tonight the party is going down at Tantra Lounge on N. Monroe. Bring smiles, and your dancing shoes. I promise I'll try my hardest to make it fun.

16 July 2007

new mixxxxx

So I did it! I got off of my lazy ass, set my shit up and made a mix. This is another one of those one take, no edits, having fun kind of mixes. But I think it's way way way cleaner than the last one, and maybe a little more creative, now that I know how to use the EQ's and shit. Anyway I guess I need a some sort of picture to make this official, so just click the picture to hear
Heat Lightning

I know I said I'd put up that 2 live crew track but I've been really busy doing stuff, like chasing skirts. Anyway I'm going to wake up tomorrow and play records until I come out with a good mixtape. So in the mean time watch this video.

Don't play like that wasn't the best thing you've ever seen in your fucking life.

07 July 2007

2 live crew

I got this new(new to me) 2 live crew record, it's called 2 live party, and it fucking slays, I might have to rip it off the vinyl when I have some free time. Like I don't have any right now. But seriously, look for it by Monday. I've been really lazy lately, I need to get on that whole editing tracks/remix game. The Tuesday night parties are going well though Does anyone have pictures from last week? If so please please please send them my way. I'll holler at deez netz later.

04 July 2007

Booty Beats

First things first. Last night was INTENSE, a huge thank you to everyone that did any of the following: partied, showed up, danced, got too wasted to drive home and got rides, and just enjoyed yourselves. You all made it completely worth being in a corner for 4 hours. To everyone I met who's names I'm not gonna remember, thanks for the support, and maybe next time I meet you I won't have headphones on and I'll try and remember your names. Anyone with pictures please send them my way, that would be real awesome.

Anyway, what's really important is that DJ Funk and Yo Majesty are playing in Orlando tomorrow. It is also my birthday, but that's second to the amount of bass that's gonna be coming out of the system ad Firestone If you're in Tallahassee like me, you need to go. Carpool anyone?

This is what booty music should be

Yo Majesty-Kryptonite pussy(Direct link) stolen from Stereogum
couldn't find any DJ Funk so holler at his myspace

03 July 2007

You don't need scool to get educated

my boy Raid played vitalic at Tantra tonight. That made my night, first of all he played it after Bob Sinclair, which completely made up for playing Bob Sinclair in the first place, second of all when the squelchy bass came in it rocked my face. Here's to hoping tomorrow ,can be as much fun as I had in those 5 minutes tonight. Hopefully I'll see you people.

30 June 2007

I gotta get on the ball with this.

So I was supposed to be spinning at a rave tonight in Orlando, but that fell through. I'm just glad I found out before I got in my car to head down there. Anyway, I guess some sort of week in review is in order. So Lets start with Monday night... DJ Raid was killin it at Tantra, with the best, most open-minded crowd they've had out there in a minute. People were actually dancing, it blew my mind. Glad to see the homie doing it big and making the money. Look out for him in the future.

So I guess next was Tuesday, and that was crazy, my first Tuesday night playing at Tantra. I was real nervous, I'm not gonna lie. I played terrible, but what crowd there was seemed to be feeling it, so I'm glad they had fun dancing. If you missed it, definitely try to come out this week. It's free, you can dance all you want without skipping the records, and if you're 21+ there's some really good drnk specials from what I understand. The party will be jumpin this week. I'm not promising anything, but there might be some kind of Tom's Diner mash-up insanity happening if your ass shows up. HOT FIRE.

Anyway, then pretty much nothing happened until last night. There were some parties, one that I spun at, it was fun, I'm sure someobody took pictures. Also my man Andre was rockin some jams. I'm not sure if she played before the cops got there or not, but my girl Andrea was also in the mood to wreck shit on the dance floor.

Anyway the DBC is making moves, be on the lookout for Africa Hot this fall. DO NOT SLEEP.

Mixtape madness will continue in the next week or so, or whenever I get off my lazy ass and record. If it's anything like I was playing last night, your mind will hopefully be blown.

I guess I might as well throw a track on this to make it worth reading so. You'd think this comes from Oakland, but it's really from Tennessee, summer jam of '07.Kinfolk Kia Shine-Krispy You've probably heard it on the radio, now it's all yours.

Game in Full effect

So thanks to whoever left that message about how I was doing nothing special playing other people's music. You were right, and I've been working on it a lot, and hopefully everyone can come out on Tuesday and have a good time. so

So there's drink specials and whatnot, and music, and no cover. Be there. It's gonna be a lot of fun, and if you want to make any requests tell me before Tuesday night, cause if you don't tell me and I don't bring it you can't be mad. The song posts will return tomorrow or so, I gotta get my table fixed, and then there'll be a new mix, which will be much better than the last one.

19 June 2007

Tuesdays are about to get awesome I think....

So dunecat and I were talking about taking over Tantra on Tuesday nights. They got this thing called Eurotrash and tattoos, or tattoos and eurotrash, I'm not sure which way it goes. Anyway, I'm gonna go holler at that dude today, and maybe we'll all have somewhere to hang out on Tuesday nights. There'd probably be a cover, but who cares about that, it'll be lots of fun I promise. Just like a house party with no threat of cops breaking it up basically.

In other news, I'm working on this aerobics mix, which I think is gonna be kind of fun, I might put it up here when I do it, it'll be way better than all that other shit I've put up before. Hopefully you all like it, be on the lookout for that tomorrow. Then after that there'll be another one that's more new-electro tinged, since that's the new hot shit.

By the way...The new Justice album is totally worth buying the CD, and not downloading for all those of you who are too cool to pay the artists for their work. They threw in some goodies for those who are willing to go that extra mile I guess. It's awesome either way, the tracks are tight, I love 'em maybe you will too. July 10, 2007 be on the lookout.

Oh and straight from hollertronix 7 HOLLER! don't sleep.

16 June 2007

so I'm on the radio rigt now plundering the shelves

You probably don't care, but this is so much fun. mad records in here. I brought some too. It's 4:00 AM it's crazy. Just got TTC played. I'm excited. It's late. this is ridiculous.

13 June 2007

so I need a favor

So I've been stuck without my turntables, and I'm working on a song. What's important is whether or not people would dance to it, so if you could holler at my myspace and listen to a 30 second or so clip of the song, and leave me feedback either here or there, that would be greatly appreciated. I also got new glasses, and I don't have to waer those obnoxious blue ones anymore. Hooray for looking human.

So there's this song that's been getting major burn on the radio down here. It's called beautiful girls by Sean Kingston, anyway I was wondering why I hadn't heard it in Tally, and I check this guy's myspace, and he's from Miami. Case Solved. Anyway for those of you up there who like music, I'm gonna holler at you before it gets on the radio up there, cause this song is awesome and people need to hear it. End of story.

Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls DO NOT SLEEP. This is the truth.

I hope nobody missed me

So I have a better mix for you today. It was done by Justice, it's about 2 hours long, but it's the sex. I'm not actually posting a link, but if you click here you'll be able to see the download link and the tracklist. which you might want to see, cause it's so amazing. I guess this is that level that my game should eventually be getting to.

Did some record shopping today, am excited about the purchases, and I think I got myself into some type of mix competition, which should light a fire under me to make better transitions, and better party mixes and whatnot. Also I'm working on a track, that hopefully will be done by tomorrow, but by the least at the end of the week. So far it's just a loop, but from the early feedback it's a hot loop, so be on the lookout. Especially you DJ's cause you'll be getting an exclusive.

and in honor of lrker here's an mp3 I think we can all enjoy, all in good fun my friend, thanks for the feedback, I really do appreciate honest opinions. but anyway. Wes Fif - Haterzzzzz (Sinden Trance Remix) courtesy of discobelle again of course.

Are you serious?

So there's that issue of a mix I made last month that I'm trying to get people to listen to, and what better place than the internet to do that right? Right, so I'm gonna post it up, and maybe you'll like it. If you do, bump it while you're working out, cleaning the house, running errands, shaking down little kids for ice cream money, I don't care, just bump it loud and proud, and tell everyone where you got it. Holler at that Rihanna joint while you're here.

Feeling creative

So Kids it's time for another edition of call me in the morning. Here's the deal, it's 3:14 AM and I just finished doing my first edit of a song. It's nothing big, but I'm a little excited about it, and happy to be able to say I've moved into the 21st century as far as making music goes.

So that song umbrella by Rihanna with Jay-Z was prety catchy, but I was kind of tired of hearing his lame ass verse about no clouds in the stones or whatever, so I decided to get rid of it. As I was doing so, I found a little drum break if you want to call it that that I liked so I looped it, which was kind of hard, cause it was my first time working with this stuff. Anyway I looped it, and then I thought since this is an edit and all I should freak the vocals too. So I did, so please give this a listen, it will also be up on the myspace as well. Those of you with final scratch, serato, traktor, etc, feel free to play this version if you: like me dislike the Jay-Z verse. Nothing against the man, but he fell off on this one.

Unrelated story of the night: I went record shopping on Miami beach tonight and got 2 copies of it takes 2 to juggle with, and A copy of I know you got soul, I think I might rip 'em and post em when I get back to my tables, but until then I hope you enjoy this track, and I'm including a second one just for DJ Raid, because hpefully he's checking this out.

Rihanna - Umbrella (DJ Advil intro edit)
Kells - I'm a flirt (DJ Klever remix)I see you Raid!

Can you ever really go home?

After the most boring drive of my life, I'm in Miami, after about 6 hours and 15 mintues. Yeah I was speeding, but I only almost died once: when I hydroplaned cause it was raining like crazy, but that's not the point of this post. The point is that I think I'm going record shopping tomorrow, and I might have some fresh tracks for those of you who look at this. And your friends, and their friends, because you're all gonna tell everyone about the new hotness which is call me in the morning. Anyway in honor of last night here's a kind of throwback joint.

Freestyle - It's automatic So Miami.

Look like a baby rat

So this morning, I just woke up thinking about this song. I don't really know why, you might have heard it before. It's been floating around the internets for a while, but it just came out on wax about 3 weeks ago. It's the title track to this 12" but it's actually the B side. Anyway it's real awesome it's called Lindsay Lohan's Revenge. I'm sure you can all figure out what it's about based on the cover. Anyway, it's a fun song done by the Pase Rock, and you guys should support the dude if you can. Also on the flip side is sexy motherfucker, which features Amanda Blank who I think is awesome. When her record drops you should cop that shit too.

So T-Pain is having some sort of Album release jump off at Vinyl Fever tonight. It happens at Midnight, but I'll be DJing at Tantra, which reminds me, I should post a flyer, so I'm gonna do that.

Click the picture for address, and price info.

I have no idea if that flyer is big enough or whatever, but that's the flyer. For those of you interested in coming this will NOT be a party set. There won't be any Baltimore club, or real Jammin music, cause it's not that kind of crowd, although I WILL try and sneak it in if I can. It should be fun kind of maybe. Anyway that's not what you cam here for, you want music to download, so without further ado...

The Pase Rock - Lindsay Lohan's Revenge found it on DISCOBELLE, those Swedes kill it with the new music.

So Excited

Just got a box full of records in the mail yesterday. All of them fire of course. Played some of them out at a party, and they hit hard, except D.A.N.C.E. which I thought would hit the hardest. I'm throwing in a remix posting an MPFree that got posted on discobelle a while ago for those of you who don't know. The record drops Monday/Tuesday in the US. GET THAT SHIT. In other news, I played some Kid Sister, cause her record finally dropped last week, at least the single did anyway. Ever since I heard this girl rap back in November I've been wanting to do whatever I can to make sure people hear her., In that spirit, at the bottom of this will be a kid sister jam as well.

The homie Luke is staying at the house for a while, and we went to the skatepark yesterday, needless to say, it was an awesome time. Then when we got back from that party we watched skate videos. The only way life could be better, is if I could pay my rent worry-free. I'm gonna throw one more track in cause it felt so right last night, as it does right now.

Justice - D.A.N.C.E.
Damn girl - Kid Sister Thank the nice people at pitchfork for hosting that one. Maybe right click and save?
Mstrkrft - Street Justice (Mstrkrft 07 remix don't sleep. Another one found at discobelle.
